This PR includes vsc configuration (for those of us so inclined) so editors with the C/C++ extension can jump right in.
It also updates
login.ctologin.cppto reflect the usage of C++ over raw C. If there is a particular reason for using.cover.cpp, I'd be curious to hear it.
