The following steps cause a freeze/crash of Reaper:
- (optionally: uninstall Reaper, clear paths of Reaper plugins, uninstall VST toolkit; or reset Reaper configurations)
- install Reaper (in my case: v6.43, Win10 x64)
- install 3DTI_Plugins_WIN_Installer_x64-v1.1.3.exe
- run Reaper -> set audio interface (when starting the first time)
- Options -> Plug-ins -> VST -> add installation path of 3DTI Toolkit (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg) to plug-in folder list
- rescan libraries or restart Reaper
- File -> Project Setting -> set project sampling rate to 48000 Hz
- add a mono 48000Hz wav file as a track to the Reaper project (I can provide a test file if necessary)
- add FX for the track
continue with FREEZE or CRASH:
FREEZE:
- select "VST3: 3DTI Spatialisation (3D Tune-In)"
- a warning message appears ("select file that matches the project sample rate"), although everything is set to 48000Hz
- when trying to load SOFA files (also matching 48000 Hz) the window freezes; I tried it for example with: https://sofacoustics.org/data/database/ari/dtf_nh5.sofa
CRASH:
- select "VST: 3DTI Spatialisation (3D Tune-In)"
- Reaper crashes
