Error when submitting an empty search on subsite

When searching without a search term while on a subsite, ftw.solr throws a TypeError.

How to reproduce:

• Open a plone site with ftw.subsite and ftw.solr installed
• Go to a subsite
• Click into the search field and submit the search without any input
