Feat: Add video support to gallery backend and segregate media by type

The current gallery backend supports only photos. We need to extend it to support photos and videos, stored and served in separate sections.

Hi! I’m Varun JP and I’m interested in contributing to Video Support (GSoC ’26 / Task 8).
For #1066, I can take the DB schema + migration subtask to support video indexing: add fields like is_video, duration, and codec (and any others you prefer) to the media table/model, plus tests/backfill strategy.
If this scope sounds good, could a maintainer confirm and label the issue / give a green light so I can open a PR?

This issue is already covered as part of the proposed implementations for GSoC 2026, so we’ll be closing it for now.
