Now that AMD has officially released ROCm for Windows, and the ComfyUI x AMD collaboration brings official support for AMD GPUs on Windows too, it makes sense for the Local Managed Server to include an option like:
Use ROCm (AMD GPUs)
While it’s technically possible to get this working via a Custom Server, that approach is not very beginner-friendly. Supporting ROCm directly in the Local Managed Server would greatly simplify setup for less experienced users and help streamline the overall onboarding process.
ROCm on Windows has reached a stable state and offers significantly better performance and compatibility compared to the current DirectML-based solution available in the Local Managed Server menu.
Adding native ROCm support would improve usability, performance, and accessibility for AMD GPU users on Windows.
