The VS Code extension spawns `coder --gateway` as a child process and communicates via JSON-RPC over stdio. Zero engine code duplication. - Add src/gateway/server.ts — JSON-RPC gateway server - Add --gateway flag to CLI (no impact on TUI/print modes) - Add extensions/vscode/ — Preact webview chat UI - Features: streaming Markdown, KaTeX math, code copy, theme sync, file drag-drop, clickable paths, interrupt, session management - Remove vendor engine files — all engine logic in CLI process - CLI dynamic imports keep TUI deps out of gateway mode Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 <noreply@anthropic.com>
