At a glance is ok, it worked, installed all in need, sometime the disk write / read is kept 100% causing the system to be slower , i dont know from where is this, htop show nothing interesting. Maybe is a driver or even kernel itself. But after few seconds 2-5 sec , all return to normal and is ok. And i see sometimes having packages using your new apt is quite slower than normal, but maybe is not the system fault, repositories are in a slow server or vey far . But is ok , is still a beta, an astonishing work, thank you, after few updates i am confident all will work like a charm ! VALENTIN |

I truly appreciate you taking the time to test the Beta and share your findings! I completely understand the frustration with the residual UEFI partitions on the USB drive. You are absolutely right that leftover boot data can cause conflicts. To avoid this entirely, I highly recommend using the native dd command if you are flashing from a Linux machine, or strictly selecting the "DD Image mode" when prompted by Rufus on Windows. This performs a sector-by-sector write and ensures the drive is perfectly clean. Regarding the brief 100% disk I/O spikes, this might be related to background caching or kernel indexing during the early stages of the installation, but we will definitely keep an eye on it! Please send more data with As for the slow package downloads, this is likely a mirror routing issue depending on your physical location. how you have upgrade the 1.4.2 installation. I have choosen do-release-upgrade but after the upgrade, most of the anduinos extensions doesn't work. |

I've been using version 1.4.2 as my home server since the beginning of the year (audiobookshelf, Samba, transmission, pihole, nextcloud,cloudflared). As part of the optimization process, I removed all graphical shell components and services and now use only the terminal to manage my AnduinOS version. I've also removed as much of the built-in Linux services as possible. Will it be possible to safely deploy version 2.0 using the standard installer, or should I expect problems, or will there be a different upgrade path? |

Yes, we will be releasing a dedicated 1.4 to 2.0 upgrade script in the near future. I can promise you that the upgrade process itself will be safe and shouldn't break your existing server configurations or data. However, I must give you a fair warning about one potentially disastrous consequence for your specific setup: You won't lose your Nextcloud or Pi-hole setups, but you will definitely need to run your purge commands again to strip the GUI back out and return to a purely headless state after the upgrade finishes. Aside from that cleanup step, you shouldn't expect any major problems! |

I had installed beta 3 and wanted to build it myself too, but in beta 3 the git and make programs are missing After install these i got it running, but after some time it resets the ibus (??) and than freezes the computer |

Way 1AnduinOS 1.4 use gext to install Gnome Shell Extensions. They were placed in the folder Therefore, this solution follows the original method, reinstalling the relevant Gnome Shell Extensions via gext. There are two main ones: For instructions, you can refer to the source code AnduinOS/1.4/src/mods/26-gnome-extensions-installer/install.sh. Alternatively, you can refer to the script I wrote before, which I have listed in another discussion thread. That discussion thread also contains records related to this topic. |
