I don't see any breaking changes in the pytest changelogs for our required version bump so this should be a safe bump

Bump pytest from 8.3.4 to 9.0.3 in
requirements.txtto pick up the patched tmpdir handling for CVE-2025-71176 / GHSA-6w46-j5rx-g56g.This is a low-risk dependency-only change and updates the single pinned pytest version used by this branch.
Fixes # (issue)
N/A - addresses the Dependabot security alert "pytest has vulnerable tmpdir handling", not GitHub issue #2 in this repository.
