We can simplify distribution of DMS by following the [Unbind](https://github.com/unbindapp/unbind) pattern of embedding the quickshell folder into the binary. But we should still allow overriding the PATH, local lookups, etc. I'd probably be inclined to make breaking changes to the PATH lookup to make it only lookup paths if overridden explicitly.
