## Parser authoring constraints

Keep every generated parser record-local. A source record can produce at most one normalized record.

- Use only the declared source table and values in the current row. Do not use a second table read, `join`, `lookup`, a secondary `union` branch, `externaldata`, a watchlist query, or an inline `datatable` mapping.
- Do not use any `mv-*` operator, including `mv-expand` and `mv-apply`.
- Do not use `summarize`, `distinct`, `arg_min`, `arg_max`, or another operation to correlate, deduplicate, aggregate, or reaggregate records.
- If a field cannot be mapped without these patterns, correct the connector or source event shape, or leave a nonmandatory field unmapped.
