To get more people involved and provide motivation, we are announcing

Bitgesell Pull Request bounty hunt!

The rules are simple:

• You can create any reasonable pull request that may contain any modifications, including,

  but not limited to:

  • Refactoring and simplification;

  • Test fixes (1 test group/file fixed by single PR counts!);

  • Cleanup of features that are no longer used (e.g. non-segwit transactions);

  • Documentation and comments (but if no code changes then some reasonable amount of changes should be done to count);

  • Bug fixes;

• Every PR would be paid $100 in USDT upon approval, larger PRs could receive bigger payouts.

• Interested people are welcome to become maintainers of the project;

(multi-contributor bounty would be recreated when possible on Gitcoin soon)

Maintainers: this PR does not read like a normal Bitgesell #32 / #81 bounty candidate and should probably be triaged as a malformed submission rather than merged as-is.

Visible concerns from the current head:

• the patch deletes a very large portion of the repository instead of making one narrow, reviewable improvement;
• the PR body contains copied/generated "Genius Council" / localhost-tool output that is unrelated to a concrete Bitgesell fix;
• there is no scoped verification path tying the diff to one specific test fix, bug fix, docs cleanup, or CI repair.

Suggested maintainer handling:

• reject or close this PR unless the author replaces it with a small, repo-preserving change set;
• ask the author to resubmit as one focused PR with a real problem statement, touched-file rationale, and minimal validation evidence;
• keep BGL PR bounty hunt #32 / BGL (Bitgesell) Bounty/Improvement Program ($50000 budget) #81 review bandwidth on the clean, narrow submissions that do not mass-delete project files.
