WebView2 settings / Browser Extensions

Describe your feature request:
I would like to be able to get into a settings menu of the WebView2 engine, to set some preferences (disable payment provider API, disable spell checking, disable translations and so on). As of right now, there is some setting that saves credential information (which i do not want to have enabled). See this right here:

I do use a password manager (SafeInCloud), which got me thinking: Maybe it would be possible to install extensions into the WebView2 engine so that my passwords will be autofilled by the extension?

Hi @ps1noob, need to check if this is possible with webview2. I know you can open the dev tools when you are in the website and press F12.

You can use F12 or right click on the web page to open the dev tools. To manage extensions, I would have to write my own manager to safely download, unpack and install them. WebView2 only supports this via workarounds. It is actually intended to display views within an application and not to replace a browser. Here is a discussion about it (maybe they add support for this in the future - but it's not planned yet): MicrosoftEdge/WebView2Feedback#3694

I currently have no plans to expand the function further, as it fulfils my requirements (displaying the consoles of routers / servers / etc.). I would rather use the time for bug fixes and other features.
