Beginner Question About Using Two TONEX One Pedals with Your Controller Project #429

Hi Samuel. The Pirate Midi controllers are using this project. Yes its possible to have Midi in and Midi out just like the Polar controllers. The exact pins depend on which PCB you wish to use. See here: The "Midi featherwing" board has a pin next to the TX pin that is used for Midi output, which could be sent to the second controller. |

Hi Greg,
My name is Samuel, and I am a TONEX One user from Brazil.
First of all, thank you for your work on the TONEX Controller project. I’ve been researching different ways to control multiple TONEX One pedals, and your project seems to be one of the most interesting solutions available.
I should mention that I am a complete beginner when it comes to controller programming and ESP32 development. I also do not speak English, so I am using ChatGPT to help me communicate and understand the technical aspects of this idea.
My goal is to control two TONEX One pedals at the same time. While researching, I noticed that some Pirate MIDI controllers have both MIDI IN and MIDI OUT connections, and that made me wonder if something similar could be possible with an ESP32-based controller.
What I am trying to find out is whether it would be technically possible to build a controller board with MIDI IN and MIDI OUT available, so that I could potentially use two boards together and independently control two TONEX One units through MIDI.
I am not asking for detailed programming help at this point—I am simply trying to understand whether this idea is feasible from a hardware and software perspective before I invest more time into it.
Since I am not an engineer or programmer, I apologize if my question sounds naive. I am just trying to learn and explore the possibilities.
Thank you very much for your time, and I would greatly appreciate any guidance or thoughts you can share.
Best regards,
Samuel
Brazil
