Thus far we have observed several useful reactions with the following substances when exposed to it. It is possible to spread a mixture of Glowstone and Bonding Powder in a specific pattern, and harden it with Essence, to create Upgrade Sigils. These may be placed on nodes to alter their functionality, or improve their performance. A node may have up to two upgrades at once, but only one of either kind. Unique sigils usually alter function, and Universal sigils usually improve stats. |

| Sometimes one would like to know precisely what lies beneath an area before beginning a mining project there. This may be solved by digging small "core sample" tunnels through the world, but doing that manually is risky and tedious. To ease this task, we have developed the Survey Tunneler to do just that for us, delivering the spoils straight to the surface. As it is a rather crude machine the Survey Tunneler spills its collected items out the top, instead of holding them for later collection. The field researcher is advised to bring a Vacuum to alleviate this problem. |
