GUI Desktop Selector

Which would be better for the new desktop selector:

• A carousel without a list (NEW)
• B carousel with a list besides (OLD)

I think having a list (not as wide as the old one) would be handy so people can easily switch between them instead of having to go through the carousel.

I had same thought that having an overview of what's available and ability to jump exactly to selection is important.
