Upstream / vanilla kernel check

I have not tested with a vanilla/upstream kernel

Kernel variant

linux-cachyos (EEVDF, Clang)

Manual system information (if cachyos-bugreport.sh is unavailable)

Bug description

After a recent kernel update (March 2026), I've started experiencing hard freezes randomly. The most recent journalctl log with the crash indicates there is an expedited CPU stall detected by rcu_preempt right before the crash. The system itself is still responsive somewhat, meaning that some apps continue working as usual, but the shell is frozen completely and there is no way to shutdown/reboot safely.

I couldn't capture the error itself in the bugreport due to booting multiple times, so here is the actual journalctl -eb with the error: crash.log

Steps to reproduce

There is no obvious way to reproduce as the issue arises randomly

Expected behavior

System does not hard freeze

Actual behavior

System randomly hard freezes due to unknown bug
