Summary

Content "New nether monster, the Crowned Ones."

Purpose of change

This is a reattempt of a PR I created a year +2 months ago (#80982) before I lost interest in the project due to college and other factors. I've decided it would be easier to remake it from where I left off rather than continue on the original PR.

Describe the solution

The crowned ones are strange, furred ape creatures with their heads replaced with a trapezoidal obelisk of stone. Think of a cross between a yeti and Pyramid Head from silent hill. They are by default non-hostile similar to grackens, but getting too close to one will cause stacking pain and intelligence loss. The obelisk is some sort of "antennae" they use to broadcast their thoughts to other members of their species, but to a human it's just overwhelming, alien noise.

Who knows what they are supposed to be? They seem to be artificially created or modified, though not like the cybernetic Exodii. Some of them even carry Neolithic-styled tools, so they do have the intelligence on par with a human. Perhaps they were once some sort of servitor race to an unknown alien species, possibly long gone and leaving them to their own devices.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Changing how their "pain field" (it's currently an invisible field) works but I'm satisfied with the current state.

Testing

Before I had abandoned my first attempt at this I had managed to get them to spawn, and give them a functioning field type, I was in the middle of working on the field's effects before I stopped.

Additional context

They came to me in a dream.

I would suggest changing the summary comment. It's suitable for a description, but looks rather odd as a description in a change history, in particular if "I" isn't even identified at that particular place.
