Setting Up an Event Hub

A resource group is a logical container for Azure resources.

  1. Create a Resource Group
    1. Sign in to the Azure portal.
    2. In the left-hand menu, select Resource groups and then click Create.
    3. Fill in the required details:
      • Subscription: Select your Azure subscription.
      • Resource group: Enter a unique name for the resource group.
      • Region: Choose a region for the resource group.
    4. Click Review + Create and then Create.

An Event Hubs namespace is a container for one or more event hubs.

  1. Create an Event Hubs Namespace
    1. In the Azure portal, select All services in the left menu, then search for and select Event Hubs.
    2. Click Create on the Event Hubs page.
    3. Fill in the required details:
      • Subscription: Select your Azure subscription.

Partitioning

When events are sent to an event hub, they are added to the end of this sequence.
