Net7 Release Steps

NOTE: Release versions specified are not exact. They are simply meant as placeholders for now.

• Create and publish "8.29" release that IS NOT net7 changes and DO NOT actually make it live yet.
  • Changes: expose the updates drop down that will include the following options:
    • "live" option (or prod, production, etc...)
    • "beta" option
• Create a "live" update link and point it to "8.29" directory that is created.
• Create and publish a "8.30" release that IS net7 changes and DO NOT actually make it live yet.
• Create a "beta" update link and point it to "8.30" directory that is created.
• Make "8.29" release LIVE by pointing current "yr" link to "8.29" directory. This will allow users to see the updates drop down and choose the "beta" or "live" options upon updating.
• Allow time for public beta to get some use.
• When enough time has passed or everything appears to be stable, point "live" link to "8.30" directory.
