Add default date range for gantt view

I think default range should be between the beginning of the earliest task and ended of latest task. Why do we need date range while we can filtre tasks bu date anyway?

Hello,

I know system with hundreds tasks on 3 or 4 years. Loading all tasks can take a long time.
But I can add an option for display without range.

Not that I can think of a better solution but I just don't feel right about having two date filters in the same page.

It is possible to filter by date before switching to gantt view. It works that way in standart gantt anyway.

What do you think about tasks without start-end dates? Do you think they can be shown with current date or what?

You right for both dates filters, not best solution.

Tasks without start and end date. I don't know. Technicaly, yes we can display it at the current date, but it's right to display-it ?
I look few gantt libraries, and i never see gantt task without dates.
This option can maybe is defined in user settings or company settings : "Show tasks without dates".
What do you think ?
