bug/feature interpretation "control after generate"

I am fairly new with using comfyui. But what annoys me is that when I generate images, found one and want to tune my prompt on that version, clicking fixed also requires me to copy the seed.

This is not logical to me. I would assume if I switch from random to fixed I don't need to do anything any more, and the seed stays like the last generated image.

You can go to Settings, type "control" and you will find this option to change it to "Control before generate", that will solve your problem

Yeah, I agree. I guess they kept it as default because it was the normal behavior since the beginning of ComfyUI, the "before" variant was introduced later (see #2538)
