I'm also curious on this. Lots of docker help documentation seems to reference netshare, but it seems like docker can now do this natively without the need for net share.

It's sad to see that this project is abandoned. Even though Docker nowadays natively supports NFS/CIFS volumes, it poorly manages them. This is especially true for NFS, where you can get stale file handle errors, and the docker daemon wouldn't bother remounting.
