Pathfinder is licensed under the Elastic License 2.0 with an Additional Use Grant.
- Host Pathfinder for your own or your organization's docs. Personal projects, open-source projects, company wikis, internal knowledge bases — all fine. That's the intended use case.
- Run Pathfinder locally for personal or internal use.
- Fork, modify, and contribute back to the project.
- Sell Pathfinder as a product or service. You can't take Pathfinder, wrap it up, and sell it as your own information retrieval offering.
We want Pathfinder to be freely usable by the developer community while preventing commercial competitors from reselling our work. The Elastic License 2.0 with our Additional Use Grant achieves both.
If you have questions about whether your use case is covered, open an issue or reach out.
