Hi, I am from Belgium and am Dutch-speaking. I have a strong interest in computers and appreciate that there is now a security program like the Windows Telemetry Disabler Launcher.

However, I have encountered a problem. I use a Windows-based program that only works properly when it can perform regular automatic downloads.
As you can guess, the Windows Telemetry Disabler Launcher has deactivated the automatic downloads, and that is why the program no longer works.
Is it possible to create a script that can make the program download again? Or will this require a reinstallation of Windows 11?

Hello, To start with, thank you for your answer. It is good to know that there is someone who cares about user privacy after all. I have a device with Windows 11 installed: Edition Windows 11 Pro, Version 25H2, Build 26200.8117. The app or program causing problems comes from the website www.jw.org, and on the website, if you scroll to the end, you will find the app JW Library; this can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store and installed. I have already reinstalled the program also using the alternative method offered, but automatic downloads are consistently blocked by Windows, where privacy protection is enabled. On another PC that does not have the privacy adjustment, the problem does not occur. It would be nice if the app were allowed free access to the internet and could download its files? But I don't know if this is feasible? Have you been able to find anything yet that points to the problem discussed?

I suspect that the problem arises because the program in question is listed in the Windows programs, and is therefore blocked due to the Windows-Telemetry-Disabler script.
