Why does compiling the Chinese RC4 firmware cause the remote control to fail to power on? It works normally without specifying the language

Why is this flag there? This is not a FrSky radio.

I would have to try compiling and see if i can see anything wrong there.

This is the 2.12.0-rc4 tag, not the 2.12 branch generally (meaning could be any random commit)?

Ok,

1. https://codespaces.new/EdgeTX/edgetx

2. Make sure you pick 2.12 as the branch. This can be remedied later if you left it set to main, but setting it correctly now gets us started in roughly the right place.

3. Make sure we are on the v2.12.0-rc4 tag, not 2.12 head. This should also fix accidental initalisation in main branch. In the terminal, enter: git fetch and then git checkout v2.12.0-rc4. You'll see in the status bar at the bottom it change from 2.12 to v2.12.0-rc4.

4. This is a just in case step - make sure the submodules are installed and in sync - git submodule update --init --recursive. Right now it should be fine, but if you follow these instructions with a different version or tag, things may be different ;)

5. Run the following to build the firmware (the 2 in --parallel 2 can be increase to suit the number of CPU cores your codespace has if you chose a larger one):

cd build
cmake -Wno-dev -DPCB=TX15 -DTRANSLATIONS=CN -DFLYSKY_GIMBAL=ON -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release ../
cmake --build . --target arm-none-eabi-configure
cmake --build arm-none-eabi --target firmware --parallel 2

6. Download the resulting firmware.uf2 from build/arm-none-eabi to your computer, and then to your radio.

tx15-v2.12.0-rc4-cn-flysky.zip

The above resulting firmware boots on my TX15 without flysky hall gimbals.

I am sure that I successfully compiled the Chinese firmware through the above operation before, but recently I have been unable to do so. I don't know why

Exactly the same steps. Just for step 2, use main as in the screenshot. And omit step 3, as you don't want the 2.12.0rc4 tag, but the current main. If you are doing that, and it is broken, it could be a break in main - which is the development version... it is not just the 3.0 UI - for that either for that transmitter, translation or the FLYSKY_HALL define ... or any combination of the 3 or other ;) The compilation commands have also just been changed, so are in the process of being updated.
