image-generator-from-html

Sofware that receives an HTML template, a text, and an image and use them to generate an image based on the template.

Pre-requisites

To run in your machine, you'll need to have installed wkhtmltopdf. Here is the download URL: https://wkhtmltopdf.org/downloads.html

Install dependencies

To install the dependencies:

1. cd src
2. npm install

Configure your needs

In order to configure the application to meet your needs, you should modify the config/default.json and add the corresponding template and static files to the templates folder defined in it.

How to run it?

To run it, you just need to pass the needed variables and run:

npm run generate-image

Docker

Build Docker Image

To build the docker image you should use:

docker build -t image-generator-js .

image-generator-js is variable, you can use whichever name you like. Bear in mind that it will be used later on though.

Run the Docker Image

To run the software, use the following:

docker run image-generator-js

This command will work after you've build using the docker build command.
