List of collaborative cards on a private server

Hallo,
is there a way to show all existing cards, for example with wildcards? I could get it reading the database, but there should be an easier way.

There is no way right now, on purpose, since the map link acts as the passphrase to access the map, and it is up to the owner of the map to decide how to share it.

What exactly is your use case? How are you using your private instance and what do you need to list the existing maps for?

Thanks for your answer. I use FacilMap as a private Documentation of our travelling. It is used only by my family; for that reason I decided to host the software on my own, secure server.
Up to now I used MapHub.net, which is perfect for my purpose; but you never know how long a Server in Russia is available.

But what exactly do you need the list of maps for? Do you create one map for each trip and you want one central entry point from where you can access all the maps? How would the list be protected from unauthorized access? Is your server only available in a LAN, or is it public but password-protected? Or are all the maps public anyways?

I am not planning to introduce a UI to list all maps on a FacilMap server, as I feel like FacilMaps servers are usually public and this does not fit that use case.

There are some different ways how I can imagine you could achieve what you are looking for:

• You maintain a list of your map links somewhere outside of FacilMap, for example in a Wiki or as browser bookmarks in a synchronized browser profile that your whole family shares
• You save all your maps as bookmarks (will soon be renamed to favourites) inside FacilMap (in the collaborative maps menu) and use a synchronized browser profile that your whole family shares so that everyone can access the same bookmarks.
• You mark all your maps as “Accessible for search engines” in the map settings. Then you can find them through “Collaborative maps” → “Open an existing map”. Right now, you will be able to only find the read-only versions of the map there. In the next months, this will change and you will be able to make editable map links findable as well.
• In the next year, I am planning to introduce user accounts. Then, if you are logged in, your favourites will be stored in your user account instead of your browser. You can then share a user account with your family and store the favourites there.

I do have an abstract idea to introduce map collections at some point as well. It would allow creating a link that somehow contains links to different maps. You could also add that link as a favourite, which would add a sub menu to the favourites where all maps of the collection would always be shown. But I have no idea about the details yet and this will probably not come any time soon.
