Very odd situation here. Never had any problems with the patcher (thank you for making it, by the way), but after the past week Sims simply refused to launch when using DDrawCompat (0.5.4) as a wrapper. It pops up in the task manager but doesn't go past 2-4MB for memory usage, even when launching as administrator and trying all the various compability modes. I can even launch multiple instances and they all take up the same amount of memory. Tried both with and without custom content. It seemingly works flawlessly under DgVoodoo2 though!
Windows 11 Home Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100, running at 1920x1080, Intel Core i5-12600K 3.7GHz 20MB, RTX 3060 12GB, 32GB RAM, Sims 1 Complete Collection
I also tried it in a virtual machine (VMWare) running Windows 7 and it didn't work with the DDrawCompat wrapper.
