Hello, and thank you for your work on this node — it’s really great!
We've encountered an issue where this node stores models outside of the default models directory, which introduces inconsistency across the ComfyUI ecosystem.
Here are a few reasons why aligning with the general ComfyUI model storage system would be beneficial:
- When reinstalling ComfyUI, nodes may be removed and reinstalled, requiring models to be re-downloaded if they aren’t stored in a common location.
- In some professional setups, the models folder is mapped to high-speed storage for performance reasons.
- Storing models inside the node’s directory prevents making nodes read-only, which is important for Docker-based deployments and other immutable setups.
We’d really appreciate it if you could consider switching to the standard models directory for better compatibility and flexibility.
