Motor only drives for a second

Hi , I set everything up correctly "I think" but the LCD displays overload every time I try to move the tiller motor . The motor trys to drive but only for a split second any ideas why this would be happening ?

Tried an IBT-2 motor controller but not sure what I needed to change in the code or wiring regardless I followed my nose but alas still not working .

Hi, I think you need to see how much current the motor is drawing (during normal operation and when it has been overloaded) by using the current sensor. Then you'd need to update the OVERLOADCURRENT parameter at the top of the code.
