Summary

  • Stream filter: Tool JSON is buffered during streaming and never forwarded to chat prose; truncated fences are discarded at flush instead of leaked.
  • Tool repair + loop: Truncated edit_file/write_file recovery from full response text; repair failures inject validation errors and continue the tool loop instead of ending the turn with corrupted UI.
  • Plan phase FSM: Artifact-based awaiting_plan / plan_ready / building — auto-continue only when no plan artifacts exist; no user-message regex.
  • Plan tools: Allow create_directory for .guide/plans and edit_file for .guide/plans/*.plan.md; prefer plan file paths over false positives like Three.js.
  • Plan-ready lifecycle: Disk scan on plan-mode chat start; re-fire after write_file, edit_file, and write_todos.
  • UX: PlanCard hidden until plan path exists; session preserved on revision; per-token file-content streaming.

Test plan

  1. Initial plan prompt → plan + todos; chat must not contain raw tool:` JSON
  2. Q&A on ready plan → prose answer only; no auto-continue nudge
  3. Plan revision via edit_file → ToolCallCard visible; file updated; no JSON wall
  4. Build only via button/Ctrl+Enter — chat text does not trigger app-side Build
  5. create_directory for .guide/plans executes or loops with feedback

guIDE v0.4.5 (v0.4.5)

Summary

  • B3 — Plan mode prompt: Three-tier guidance (conversational prose-only, build/plan workflow, plan-ready revision) injected via system prompt only — no user-message regex. Clarifies that web_search is unavailable in Plan mode.
  • B9 — Per-conversation plan: New chat no longer resurrects plans from disk via emitExistingPlanIfFound on every message. planSession is saved and restored with guide-chat-sessions when switching conversations.
  • B6 — Todo discipline: Stronger build-phase prompt, tool descriptions, and post-write_todos reminder so the model calls update_todo during Agent/Build implementation (live TodoDropdown progress).
  • B8 — Scrollbars: Thinner Monaco scrollbars (no arrows) and theme-aligned sliders; PDF preview uses a thin-scrollbar wrapper.

Deferred (unchanged from v0.4.4)

  • Blocked-tool retry loop / auto-continue guard when Plan mode tools are rejected (B1/B2).

Test plan

  1. Plan mode → new chat → no PlanCard from another conversation
  2. Conv 1 plan → conv 2 clean → return to conv 1 → PlanCard restored
  3. "how r u" → prose only; vague build → plan file + todos (not implementation)
  4. Build/Agent → update_todo in logs as steps complete
  5. Monaco + PDF → modern thin scrollbars

guIDE v0.4.6 (v0.4.6)

Summary

  • Tool JSON leak fix: Prevention-first stream routing — tool-shaped output no longer forwards to prose (isVisibleToolArtifact + stream FSM). Structural findToolCallRanges strips fences, tool objects, and continuation tails (e.g. split browser_click JSON). Safety-net scrub runs every generation round.
  • Tab overflow menu: New persistent ⋯ on the editor tab bar (plus existing right-click menu): Close, Close Others, Close All, Close Saved, Copy Path, Reload (browser), Split editor.
  • System prompt: Clarification / ask_question discipline, browser and auth flows, explicit rule to keep tool JSON in tool cards not chat prose.

Test plan

  1. Agent/browser turn — no raw JSON under tool cards (collapsed or expanded)
  2. Editor tab bar — ⋯ opens tab actions menu
  3. Login flow — model uses snapshot + ask_question instead of guessing credentials
