Affected app version

1.6.0

Affected Android/Custom ROM version

Android 17

Affected device model

Pixel 10 Pro XL

How did you install the app?

F-Droid / IzzyOnDroid

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. open app
  2. select Stopwatch tab
  3. edit default or add new timer line
  4. start timer with play button
  5. clear app
  6. Bug is that timer will not run in background and hourglass notification will not be visible.
  7. Workaround, follow steps 1-4, plus:
  8. Minimize app (dot)
  9. Wait for hourglass to appear in notification bar to appear
  10. Clear app. Notification banner will be visible and decrementing, Alarm will commence normally.

Removing background power optimization does not remove bug. All other tabs work normally:

  • Clock
  • Alarm
  • Timer

Note: Since the Timer is working for me, I don't consider this issue (#460) a duplication another issue:

Expected behavior

Stopwatch should run in background without intermediate steps of minimizing app and waiting for notification.

Actual behavior

See steps to reproduce.
