You can also use this extension on local files such as .html or .txt that are supported by browsers.
This is not allowed in Chrome unless you provide permission. Follow these steps to enable local file:// URL's:
Chrome
Right-click on the extension button and select Manage extensions (alternatively go to chrome://extensions/ and then click the "Details" button on the extension)
Enable the option titled "Allow access to file URLs"
Open a local file (Example: drag and drop the file into a tab)
