When executing the script, it hangs forever and finally times out when trying to fetch then OpenSSL version.

As mentioned in this issue openssl/openssl#25191, git.openssl.org seems to have been deprecated and/or not used for a while.

Using the HTTPS GitHub URL fixes the timeout.

In my own fork of iSSH2 I also changed the location of the release tarball to github. See the commits at https://github.com/Jan-E/iSSH2/commits/master/
