Please indicate *how* to add a code block in the code-block instructions

These instructions say one 'can' add a code block and show examples, but these instructions do not actually tell one how to add a code block. Show a screenshot of the product, and exactly where one clicks or takes action to create a code block.

I'm finding it impossible to add a code block to an existing numbered list. '/' does not give code-block as an option and 'code' in the search box in the '/' contextual menu does not yield a code block option.
