Okay answered my own question, this is a Klipper thing, all I had to do was uncomment this in the Printer.cfg: [idle_timeout] My machine was timing out during my heatsoak procedure for high temp materials as well and I forgot all about this idle timeout thing. |

I just updated to the latest helper script, and now during a pause, roughly 15mins, the entire motion system and all heaters are turning off, this was not the behaviour of the previous version, as I do manual multi colour/filament changing, and in some cases I may be busy doing something else and I cant stand right next to the machine waiting, instead it used to pause, lower the extruder temp, and sit there until the heat death of the known universe, now, I go to the toilet and come back and it wants me to home the axis before it can continue, and this is not possible after you have started printing.
I'm sure this is just some feature to prevent a user from burning down their house, but I'm okay with that, wouldn't it be better for it just to lower temps and stepper power if left for more than 15mins, then at resume, bring them back up? Shutting everything down is the same as just cancelling the print.
Does anyone know where this feature is hiding and in which macro so I can modify it? Its cost me a fair amount of time and material now.
Kind of serves me right for updating, should have just stayed on the version I had, I held off for like 8 months on updating, and I think this will be the last time I do, I will use this version until the machine rusts away into dust.
