Lowering barriers for students and educators to host and share IIIF manifests #25

Description

@brittnylapierre

What is your idea, question, or challenge related to working with digital media tools or IIIF?

There is no simple way to publish self-produced manifests so they are CORS-enabled. Digirati's Manifest Editor provides a comprehensive way for users to generate manifests but there is little information on how to make those manifests available on the web. Academic technology staff and instructors need a simple way to make manifests available. We need publicly available documentation on possible methods for publishing manifests without running one's own DAM.

What were you trying to accomplish when your question/challenge/idea arose?

I was creating a course for my students where I was trying to enable them to create manifests which would then become publicly available on save in a manifest editor.

Which of the following areas of digital media engagement most closely relates to your question/challenge?

Migrating user produced content across platforms

Which user groups/audiences would benefit from the resolution/answer of your question/problem?

Students, Educators
