Much of our work is done on computing clusters, either here at UCSB or over at SLAC, and we use Indico agendas for meetings to discuss progress. This means you'll need a lightweight CERN account and possibly a Pod/SLAC computing account.

Lightweight CERN Account

Access the account registration form here. It should only take a few minutes to set up a lightweight CERN account. Once you have an account, make sure to message the current meeting organizer and have them add you to the Indico agenda.

Pod Computing Account

Access the account registration form here. You can expect to have an account set up within a couple of days following the completion of the form. Select "Highly Parallel" from the menu where the form asks for a job type. This project is not currently receiving funding from the NSF.

SLAC User Accounts

You can find a copy of the account registration instructions on the Confluence pages here. Before you do any of the steps, email Tim Nelson (tknelson@slac.stanford.edu), with Joe CCed, to tell him you're a new student working on LDMX. He will need to approve your account requests. Getting a SLAC account set up is a bit involved and you can expect to wait a couple of weeks depending on processing times. You will also need to take an online cybersecurity training every year to maintain access to your SLAC accounts.
