World UIDs are not respected

I have a plugin that uses the world UID to save the referenced world to a file. However, AdvancedSlimePaper does not seem to respect world UIDs and instead gives a world a random UID every restart.

That is not a bug, this is intentional.

I can leave this open as a feature request, but it would require a format change + some considerations about world cloning. Worlds are internally cloned to be saved, so the UUID must be kept there. But for normal clones the UUID must be deleted or else the world might not load/have conflicts.

I'm going to talk this through with the others, but this is most likely going to be closed in the future.

@SamB440 We are currently evaluating making UUIDs consistent. You can try a build from the dev/consistent-uuids branch for 1.21.8 and let us know your feedback.

We did not change our stance on saving UUIDs but instead of saving the UUIDs, we now generate the world ID based on the world name. So if your world name changes, the uuid changes. And if a different world is loaded with the same name, it will have the same UUID. Please let us know if these changes work for you.
