Why is the installer needed?

Hello there, first of all that is a fantastic load of work! I have some thoughts that I want to share.

1 - Why is installer needed? You can subfolder queries when adding git packages in unity, and I managed to add using https://github.com/IvanMurzak/Unity-Theme.git.git?path=/Unity-Theme/Assets/root link. This way there is also no need to add npm scoped registry.

2 - I saw you already have TMP support in your roadmap. Any ideas on when it will be available?

3 - Ctrl + z doesn't work with editor window. It should be relatively easy to add, can you add it?

Hi @SinanErmis , thanks for the feedback!

1. It is not needed, it is optional.
2. I assume it is already supported, please check Selectable Color Binder. Any TextMeshPro is a selectable that is why it should work. Let me know if that doesn't.
3. Good idea. I will take a look.

What I meant by TMP support was being able to change font asset/weight/size etc. from a theme that you mentioned here. I used an premade UI kit before that came with said functionality and it was great to work with and I think it would be a great improvement upon what you have here. If you do not have time or not willing to add it, I can give it a try. I just wanted to ask beforehand because it seems like you are only contributor right now and not yet have a contribution guide either.

I want to say it again, asset works pretty good and solves exactly what we need. Thanks for creating it!

Ah, I see what you mean. Yeah, that would be cool to have, and you are exactly right, I am out of time to make it real. And open for any help!

Talking about contribution guidelines. It is true, it is absent completely for this project. And I have a proposition how better to start making it real. This is a major upgrade of the project so lets design it properly at the start to avoid any potential back and forth movement. First of all, if you are truly ready to help, here is what I will ask you to do then.

First stage - documentation of the upgrade

Need to create detailed well formatted markdown documentation of this upgrade in a new Issue in this GitHub repository.
It must contain:

• Detailed description of the Unity Theme UI window upgrade. It must represent new UI elements in the window to give a user the control of changing the things for Text Mesh Pro.
• Description binders upgrade to support the new entities. Very likely it will be new binders. Lets don't make a Frankenstein binder that has many things. If a GameObject must have multiple things to be controlled, just add few different binders on it. Modularity is important.

Second stage - implementation

Since we have fully nailed down documentation and I blessed it lets start work on it, here I am open for two ways, up to you.

1. Option. To make it manually. It works, and if you would like to go this way I respect the choice.
2. Option. Using Claude Code and AI Game Developer. Since we have well described documentation (tasks), Claude Code can make it done. A human engineer is still needed to polish it, especially UI part of the window and maybe UI of binders.

Since I don't have much to time to work on it on my own, you are free to choose any option on your own. I would really recommend the option with AI because you will save a lot of time.

Third stage - review

Since it is implemented, the pull request must be created here on this GitHub repository. I will do a review, maybe will leave few change requests which must be fixed. As only all of that is done, we will have the feature and I will make a new release of the package!
