💫 About Me: Johnson K C

Hey 👋

Senior CS student at Morgan State University with a 4.0 GPA, graduating Spring 2027. I build at the intersection of machine learning, computational biology, and full-stack web development.

Right now I'm focused on applied ML research, shipping consumer apps, and prepping for a summer at UC San Diego working on climate ML.

What I'm working on

🧬 Cross-Species Gene Interaction Prediction. Applied ML research under Dr. Philwa Lee, funded by an NIH NIDA R21 grant. Building deep learning models for protein-protein interaction prediction across species.

🎙️ EchoFlow. Local-first dictation tool for Windows. Whisper for transcription, local LLM cleanup, RAG over past dictations for few-shot context, and LoRA fine-tuning that kicks in past 500 samples. Supports English and Thai, with a global hotkey launcher and auto-paste.

🏘️ Yahtri. Hyper-local resale marketplace built with React, FastAPI, and Supabase. Map-first browsing, AI-powered listing generation from photos, Safe Meetup Spots, in-app messaging, and price drop alerts.

🎓 BearBoard. Student collaboration platform for Morgan State, built with React, FastAPI, and Neon Postgres. Study group coordination, note sharing, peer Q&A, and an LLM-powered quiz generator.

  • NIH NIDA Computational Biology Researcher, Morgan State. Applied ML to genomic data under Dr. Philwa Lee.
