Thanks for adding the call out about AI in your readme file but it mentions:

This project uses AI-assisted workflows with active human direction and reviews.

I'll admit, as soon as I saw Claude being a part of the commit messages I internally dismissed using pdu but then I saw the AI call out in the readme. It left me wondering what the above quote means. Is this 90% AI coded but you personally review the code it outputs, or is this something like you write all of the code and ask it for potential improvements afterwards?

This tool exists long before ChatGPT. You may see the release page to confirm.

Recent code is AI-generated. I personally reviewed its every line. Then I sometimes ask the AI to do mass adjustment, or open VS Code to do it myself. Whichever method is most convenient at the moment.

I also asked Copilot to review for flaws and stuffs.

Programmers are not artisans. You are not using a tool to connect with the soul of its "artist". You use it because it helps you solve your problems.

The only concern with AI-generated code are bugs as a result of unchecked vibe-coding. However,

1. Human coders aren't free from mistakes.
2. The AI-generated code in this repo is checked.
3. AI reviewer helped me discovered a bug I was unaware of.
4. LLM helped me navigate the pool of human knowledge faster.

Yep I agree. I'm a developer too, but actively try to avoid AI because I've seen the output it can produce. It's really hit or miss, and it can be very wrong in subtle ways.

In your case I have no doubt you know the domain and problem space very well, but was mainly curious how AI was used. Your comment did clear it up, thanks.

Well, I did fight the AI. So it turns out that it would take at least a week or two until a feature can be shipped.

That's good to hear, the part about grilling the AI until it produces something you're happy with.
