How to disable auto updating?

I personally find version 1.2.12.0 to be perfect for me as I've had no issues, but then it updated and it started breaking beyond normal when sitting or even barely crouching. Plus when I reinstall the old version, it fixes everything. Is there a way to just turn off updating or do I have to reinstall every time? Many appreciations, Juni. G.

Nothing that could have broken anything you’ve mentioned was changed, but if you want to keep an old version just install a testing build from here or the regular Amethyst repo. Autoupdate cannot be disabled, because it’s not under our control. Amethyst, being a packaged Store app, is managed by Windows Update.

If you cannot find a testing one (Azure might've deleted them by now) but have downloaded an older MS-signed APPX, you can re-sign it using MSIX packaging tools or MSIX hero to change its ID/certificate and make Windows treat it as a different app, therefore stopping all automatic updates.
