How to send test emails?

I need to check if my email settings are correct, but cannot find information how to send a test email. There is a closed issue (#2450), but I have not the Project Roles page to send an email to all the site maintainers. Wat can I do?

I was going to ask the same thing (but found this before posting).

My cdash hasn't been sending email for a long time. I didn't raise the issue because I was on an older version, but I'm finally on 4.11 (newest) and the issue is still there.

In my log I see:

So cdash invokes /usr/sbin/sendmail to send mail I guess?

I've written little PHP snippets, and they are able to send email, so it would be great if cdash had a "send test email" button. @williamjallen does it?

@seanm CDash doesn't currently have a "test email" button or Artisan command, but I think that would be a great feature to add. I opened #3727 to track this.
