While reading the book, I noticed a potential issue with Figure 2-1.
The caption and surrounding text describe Figure 2-1 as:
"Mapping a real-world object into an object abstraction. The real-world objects are various types of trees. One of these objects (a pin oak tree) is mapped into the computer object we call PinOak."
However, the content of the figure appears unrelated to this description. The diagram contains elements such as CT/MRI Scanner, which do not correspond to the example about trees and object abstraction.
After checking other figures in the book, I found that Figure 2-1 appears to be identical to Figure 2-5. Because of this, I suspect that the wrong image may have been inserted for Figure 2-1.
