Figure 3-7 does not match its description in the text

While reading Chapter 3, I noticed a potential inconsistency between Figure 3-7 and its description in the text.

The book states:

"Figure 3-7 shows the image of a cylinder that becomes darker as you move laterally from its center."

However, the current figure does not appear to show this effect. The figure does not seem to contain a cylinder, and therefore does not illustrate the phenomenon described in the text.

Could you please confirm whether the correct image is missing or if the figure was inserted incorrectly?
