When my Sqeeuzebox2 is not playing any music, I frequently see the screen flashing very briefly. Using wireshark I found that this coincides with the TCP connection to port 3483 being torn down and reestablished. This happens every 60 seconds. Both of those actions appear to be initiated by the Sqeeuzebox2, which would normally make think that's where the problem must be. But this only started happening after I upgraded the server from Logitech Mediaserver to Lyrion Music Server. Because of that I now suspect that it may be caused by something the server does, or doesn't do.
When music is playing on the Squeezebox2, the port 3483 connection stays up.
I'm running Lyrion Music Server 9.1.0 - 1771315634 @ Thu Feb 19 13:50:59 UTC 2026 on Fedora Linux 43.
My player is a Squeezebox2 running firmware version 137.
In the attached squeezebox.pcapng.gz wireshark trace, IP address 192.168.46.15 is the server and IP address 192.168.46.20 is the player. (Sorry, I had to compress the file because github does not accept uncompressed pcap files.)
