beforeunload for shared web worker

Is it possible, or perhaps the shared web worker already has the feature, to have an event to raise when I close last browser tab connected with the shared web worker and the worker is trying to be closed? It is ok if I run it inside the worker.

WebWorkerService has events that track the opening and closing of all instances of your app no matter where they are running (dedicated worker, shared worker, window, or service worker.) It detects the closing of apps by using LockManager. When a copy of your app starts up, WebWorkerService creates a lock that it never releases, then broadcasts the lock name and its instance info to the other running instances using the broadcast channel. The other running instances now know about the running instance and they create a lock with the same name the new instance used. The lock they take won't be granted until the instance that owns the lock is closed, but it works no matter how the instance was closed; not relying on onbeforeuload (which is window only.)

Anyways, the events in are WebWorkerService.OnInstanceLost and WebWorkerService.OnInstanceFound. You should be able to listen to OnInstanceLost and in that event compare what is running to the connection list WebWorkerService.SharedWorkerIncomingConnections.

An issue that might happen is the shared worker being terminated as soon as the other instances close before it can handle the event.

Looking at WebWorkerService it looks like connections are never removed from WebWorkerService.SharedWorkerIncomingConnections even if the connected instance's termination has been detected. I'll fix that shortly.

The above mentioned issue is fixed in the latest Nuget. WebWorkerService.SharedWorkerIncomingConnections is now updated properly when an instance is lost before firing the OnInstanceLost event.

I've decided to double check it. When I open a second browser tab WebWorkerService.SharedWorkerIncomingConnections.Count == 9. Why? I thought, it has to show 2 :)

Upd: WebWorkerService.Instances.Count shows 3 and when I close a tab it shows 2. Seems, it shows more appropriate value for me.
Upd2: Anyway, when I close the last tab OnInstanceLost is not fired, so I can not use it.
