Since make is still supported to compile the repository, we should also update the version in configure.ac to the latest release version.

At least in version 2.4.1, it still works for me after disabling some unnecessary features. I agree with you that to avoid confusion, we should remove configure.ac in future releases if the meson build system can already work stably. |
