Define organization issue type policy (Task/PBI/Epic only)

Summary

Adopt a standardized organization-wide issue type policy and limit available issue types to the approved set.

Policy

Allowed issue types:

• Task — green
• PBI — blue
• Epic — purple

All other issue types should be disabled/removed from availability at the organization level.

Scope

• Configure issue types at the MSXOrg organization level.
• Ensure repositories inheriting org defaults only expose the approved types.

Acceptance criteria

1. Only Task, PBI, and Epic are available when creating/selecting issue types.
2. Colors match policy exactly:
   • Task = green
   • PBI = blue
   • Epic = purple
3. Previously available non-approved types (e.g., Bug, Feature) are no longer available for new usage.
4. Policy is documented in org governance docs so future admins keep the same standard.

Notes

• If existing historical issues use now-disallowed types, keep history intact while preventing new usage of disallowed types.
